What is "Legal for Trade"?
Not just calibrated. Verified for use for trade.
When weighing equipment is described as calibrated, certified or Legal for Trade, those terms can sound very similar. They are not the same thing.
PROWEIGHED's eight Dini Argeo weighing pads are individually listed on a National Trade Measurement Form 6 Certificate of Verification, which records the instruments as having been tested in accordance with National Test Procedures and found suitable for use for trade.
Each pad also has its own individual weighing performance and calibration report.
Calibration is important. Verification goes further.
Calibration
Calibration tests how an individual weighing instrument performs against known reference weights.
PROWEIGHED's eight weighing pads each have an individual weighing performance report, with the calibration weights traceable to National Standards.
Trade verification
PROWEIGHED's Form 6 goes further.
It records the eight individual weighing instruments as having been tested in accordance with National Test Procedures and found suitable for use for trade.
Calibration tells us how the instrument performs.
Verification confirms the instrument has met the applicable requirements for use for trade.
Our National Trade Measurement verification
PROWEIGHED's weighing system is supported by a Form 6, the Certificate of Verification or Notice of Non Verification of a Measuring Instrument.
The document identifies each of our eight weighing pads individually, and the verifier declaration states that the listed measuring instruments were tested in accordance with National Test Procedures and found suitable for use for trade.
The Form 6 does not simply cover a generic equipment model. It specifically identifies the individual instruments used by PROWEIGHED, by serial number.

What does the NMI Pattern Approval number mean?
The Form 6 identifies PROWEIGHED's equipment under NMI Pattern Approval P6/10B/116. Pattern approval relates to the approved design, or pattern, of the measuring instrument.
The individual instruments used by PROWEIGHED are then separately identified and verified on the Form 6.

Trade verification is supported by individual performance documentation for the actual weighing equipment. Each of PROWEIGHED's eight Dini Argeo pads has its own weighing performance report.
The reports state that the instruments were calibrated using weights traceable to National Standards and tested in accordance with National Instrument Test Procedures.
The calibration documentation is not one generic certificate covering the system. Each weighing pad is individually identified and documented.

The equipment is mobile, which is what allows us to assess individual wheel positions in your driveway rather than operating as a fixed site.
