What we check
More than one number. A clearer picture of how your setup is actually loaded.
Every PROWEIGHED assessment is built around the vehicle, trailer or towing combination being presented.
Depending on the service, we measure and record information across individual wheels, axles, total mass, weight distribution, tyres and other relevant vehicle or trailer details.
The result is a more complete understanding of how the setup is carrying its load.
From individual wheels to the complete setup
PROWEIGHED starts at individual wheel level wherever applicable. Those measurements are then combined and reviewed together.
Depending on the assessment, additional tyre, height, towing and trailer information is also recorded.
What do we check on your setup?
The checks depend on what is being assessed. Choose the closest match to see what is measured and recorded.
4WD and tow vehicle assessment
A vehicle-only assessment, with no caravan or trailer connected.
No trailer is connected during this assessment, so tow ball mass, caravan ATM or GTM and a measured GCM are not included. Where a trailer is connected, the combination assessment applies.

Focused on the caravan or trailer itself, including tow ball mass.
This assessment does not cover the tow vehicle: no tow vehicle GVM, axle or wheel loads, no payload, no GCM, and not the effect of tow ball mass on the tow vehicle.
Explore caravan and trailer weighingVehicle and caravan combination assessment
The most comprehensive towing assessment, because the tow vehicle and caravan are assessed together, hitched and unhitched.
Tow ball mass belongs here because the caravan is connected and the complete towing setup is being assessed.
Explore combination assessmentsMotorhome and campervan assessment
The completed vehicle as it exists today, including the permanent fitout that already consumes part of the payload, and the travelling load.
Measured as presented on the day, with the fitout and travelling load in place.

The complete boat or pontoon and trailer package as presented for towing.
This assesses the marine trailer package as presented. It does not assess how that load affects the tow vehicle unless the relevant combination assessment is selected.
Explore boat and pontoon weighingCommercial and fleet assessment
How working vehicles are actually operating once permanent fitout, equipment and normal work loads are considered.
For coordinated fleet assessments the same applicable measurements can be recorded across multiple vehicles, giving individual results rather than assuming similar vehicles operate at the same weight.
Explore commercial and fleet assessmentsThe weight still has to be carried by the tyres
PROWEIGHED does not consider vehicle or trailer mass in isolation from the tyres carrying that load.
Where applicable we record tyre size, load index, tyre load capacity, tyre pressure, the manufacturer or placard pressure and tyre age. That information is then considered alongside the applicable wheel and axle measurements.
This is not a mechanical tyre inspection. We do not assess tread condition, structural condition, remaining tyre life or
Weight is only part of the setup
On applicable vehicle assessments, PROWEIGHED also records information that helps document how the vehicle is sitting under load.
Selected checks beyond the scales
Depending on the assessment, PROWEIGHED may also record selected towing and trailer measurements or observations. Not every check applies to every service.
It is the combination of measurements that matters
No single measurement tells the entire story. A vehicle may be below GVM but still have a heavily loaded axle. A caravan may be below ATM but carry substantially more load on one side. A tow vehicle may change significantly once the caravan is connected.
That is why PROWEIGHED reviews the applicable measurements together rather than relying on one total number.
Clear about the scope
PROWEIGHED provides weight, loading and related measurement assessments. Our assessments do not replace specialist mechanical, engineering or roadworthy inspections.
Different setups need different checks
The measurements relevant to a 4WD are different from those required for a caravan, motorhome, boat trailer or complete towing combination.
