Yes. For the most useful assessment, present the vehicle as close as practical to the way it normally travels or operates.

This may include passengers, fuel, luggage, tools, accessories, camping equipment and other items normally carried.

Yes. For a travel-ready assessment, the caravan should be presented as close as practical to the way it will normally be used.

This may include water, gas, food, clothing, bedding, camping equipment, batteries and other items normally carried.

The caravan should ideally be presented with the water load you actually intend to travel with.

Where understanding full-water capability is important, presenting the caravan with its intended full water capacity can provide a clearer picture of how much payload remains. Do not empty water simply to create a lighter result.

Yes. For a combination assessment, present the tow vehicle as close as practical to the way it normally travels.

Regular passengers should be included where practical, because occupants contribute to the loaded vehicle mass.

If someone cannot attend, let PROWEIGHED know. The assessment will reflect the setup as presented on the day.

Present the vehicle with the full tank of fuel you normally operate or travel with.

The goal is to represent your realistic operating configuration.

The assessment can still proceed, but the measured results will reflect the setup exactly as presented.

Any significant load that is still missing should be considered when interpreting remaining capacity. Where practical, the closer the setup is to its normal travel configuration, the more useful the result will be.

The weighing area needs to be firm, stable and reasonably level, with enough room to position and manoeuvre the vehicle or trailer.

Soft grass, loose sand, mud, steep slopes and severely uneven areas may not be suitable.

Leave the helper airbag pressures at the pressure you normally operate with for the presented load.

PROWEIGHED will record those pressures as part of the applicable assessment.

Yes. PROWEIGHED offers dedicated vehicle assessments without a trailer connected.

No. There is no trailer connected during a vehicle-only assessment.

Tow ball mass is relevant when the trailer forms part of the applicable assessment.

Yes. For example, an individual axle or tyre may still require attention even when the total vehicle mass is below GVM.

Yes. Modified and accessorised vehicles are a major reason actual measurement can be useful.

Accessories such as canopies, bull bars, winches, batteries, drawers, fuel tanks and touring equipment all contribute to actual vehicle mass.

Yes. Caravan and trailer assessments are available without completing a full tow vehicle assessment.

In simple terms, ATM relates to the loaded trailer when unhitched and includes the load supported through the coupling. GTM is the portion of trailer mass carried through the trailer tyres when the trailer is coupled.

Yes. Horse floats can be assessed under the applicable caravan and trailer service where the trailer and weighing location are suitable.

The service assesses weight and loading. It is not a structural, mechanical or animal-welfare inspection.

Yes. PROWEIGHED offers dedicated boat and pontoon weighing for suitable marine trailer setups.

A combination assessment looks at the tow vehicle and trailer as a complete towing setup.

It includes applicable measurements for both parts of the combination and allows PROWEIGHED to compare how the tow vehicle changes when the trailer is connected.

Connecting a trailer transfers load onto the tow vehicle and can change the following. Comparing the tow vehicle in both conditions helps show the effect of the connected trailer.

Yes. For assessments requiring a hitched and unhitched comparison, there needs to be enough suitable space to safely hitch, unhitch and reposition the setup where required.

Yes. Tow ball mass is one of the applicable measurements in a complete tow vehicle and trailer assessment.

A single total weight cannot show how the load is distributed between the tow vehicle, its axles, the trailer, the trailer axles and the tow ball.

A combination assessment is designed to provide a more complete picture.

Yes. Customers receive the applicable PROWEIGHED assessment report documenting the measurements and results for the setup as presented on the day.

PROWEIGHED provides three primary report types: the vehicle report for vehicle-only assessments, the caravan / trailer report for trailer-focused assessments, and the combination tow vehicle / trailer report for complete towing combination assessments.

Yes. The applicable results are reviewed with the customer so they understand what was measured and what the figures mean for the setup presented.

We also offer free post weigh follow up calls or emails for any questions or queries you may have but didn't get to or forgot to ask during the weigh.

The purpose of the assessment is to provide useful information so the customer can make informed decisions about their setup.

Where possible we will make changes on the day to the distribution of items and show their effect or if necessary, refer to specialist for further upgrades or structural changes.

We are assessing the weights as they sit to factory limits on Vehicles, Trailers or Caravans.
